A bridal hair trial should test more than whether a style looks good in a photograph. Craft Collective offers bridal consultations, trials and wedding-day styling. Use the trial to examine the shape, accessories, comfort and schedule of the hairstyle you intend to wear on the actual day.
Bring references that explain your priorities
Choose a few photographs and identify the details you like: the height at the crown, softness around the face, a polished or textured finish, and whether the hair is fully up or partly down. Bring images of your dress neckline if useful to the discussion. Too many unrelated references can make the goal unclear. Tell the stylist which feature matters most so the trial has an agreed direction before styling begins.
Include the veil and accessories
Bring the actual accessories when possible and ask how they will be positioned and secured. A veil, comb or hairpiece can change the placement of an updo. If someone else will remove the veil later, ask for a demonstration of that step. Discuss whether clip-in or other added hair is proposed and confirm the cost and preparation separately. Do not assume an accessory shown in an inspiration photograph can be placed identically in your chosen style.
Evaluate the finish beyond the chair
Look at the shape from the front, sides and back. Take photographs with your permission and note how the style feels when you move and turn your head. Tell the stylist if something pulls or feels too tight rather than assuming discomfort is unavoidable. The trial provides a chance to adjust the design. A photograph records appearance, but it does not by itself establish how comfortable the style will be over an entire wedding day.
Record the decisions for the wedding appointment
Confirm the final style, any changes after the trial, preparation instructions and the wedding-day appointment location. Ask how much time to allow and whether the trial and day-of styling are quoted separately. Craft Collective’s FAQ recommends planning bridal bookings ahead of the date; contact the salon about current availability. A completed trial does not automatically reserve the wedding appointment, travel arrangement or bridal-party capacity unless those details have been confirmed.
Questions before booking
When should I book a trial?
Contact the salon early to plan around your wedding date and current availability. The selected stylist can advise when the trial fits the larger schedule.
Does a trial reserve wedding-day styling?
Confirm both appointments and any required arrangements directly. Do not assume one booking automatically includes the other.
